Walter Stahel on Sustainable Taxation

by Piotr
- 2011/10/13 in

In the current landscape where governments across the industrialised world are juggling fiscal austerity with supporting welfare, the idea of reducing taxes to favour an environmentally sustainable circular economy might seem less relevant. Those who have heard of them are very skeptical of their cost saving benefits, others do not have the time to investigate. In most cases ‘going green’ is being associated with extra efforts and expenditures. Indeed, most mangers are not aware of the long-term cost saving benefits nor of the fact that many efficiency improvements can be made without investing into new technologies.

Over years this has put a huge shadow on Small and Medium Enterprises/Businesses (SME/SMB) causing them to be ignored.
