SBP: Sponsorship Enquiry
Our global economy consists of over 90% of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Most of them have no idea when it comes to sustainable practices. Those who have heard of them are very skeptical of their cost saving benefits, others do not have the time to investigate. In most cases ‘going green’ is being associated with extra efforts and expenditures. Indeed, most mangers are not aware of the long-term cost saving benefits nor of the fact that many efficiency improvements can be made without investing into new technologies. For decades nearly everyone has been focusing on the symptoms of unsustainable acitivity (e.g.: CO2, resource depletion, job loss, pollution, etc) rather than the cause (waste creation, and finance). Having said this, things must change.
I would like to present everyone a project that me and my team have finally finished developing after over two years of efforts, the Sustainable Business Performance (SBP) website (http://www.sustainbusper.com). It is an online database and community dedicated to collecting and distributing information that helps students and universities study long-term sustainable business practices and helps businesses reduce their waste and costs. Through cooperative ventures, academic collaborations and professional partnerships, the goal of the SBP is to help businesses generate wealth, promote resource efficiency, facilitate job creation, and incorporate long-term sustainable practices.
SBP is a knowledge generating network that consists of scientists, researchers, and managers who are working to help make the world a better and more profitable place. These individuals, and the organizations in which they work, hail from dozens of countries and have years of experience in politics, management, industry and academia. Indeed, many have been internationally recognized for their achievements. Currently our network consists of over 20 institutional members such as Borderstep Institute (http://www.borderstep.de), Factor 10 Institute (http://www.factor10-institute.org), and many others. Our main partner and advisory board for this project is the Product-Life Institute (http://www.product-life.org), Europe’s oldest sustainability think-tank which through its established network of members and friends will coordinate and connect us with trusted and approved individuals and organizations in the field of sustainability to ensure development of high quality content.
To spread the sustainability message and the profit potentials involved, the Sustainable Business Performance website uses pioneering research combined with education and application-oriented materials (including guides, books, information videos, and classroom slide shows) and distributes them free of charge.
Your financial support will help to provide universities, schools, and businesses with these learning aids while promoting wealth creation, resource efficiency and job creation. Despite the interest of involvement from other organizations in terms of content distribution we need to come up with our own. Your involvement allows the name of your company to be added to this list and ensures that it will be featured prominently alongside SBP educational materials as a socially responsible organization. Together we can create the first online community which can serve as a one stop source for sustainability.
